Trevor is responsible for Unilever's overall corporate media relations, including all major announcements and initiatives, the media engagement programmes of senior management and overseeing the media activity carried out by all agencies that partner Unilever's categories.

Based in Unilever's corporate head office in Blackfriars, London, Trevor runs a media relations team in Unilever's corporate centres in London and Rotterdam. He also is responsible for co-ordinating a network of around seventy colleagues around the world.

A former freelance journalist, Trevor has written and broadcast on everything from junk bonds to books and films. He joined Unilever in 1995, a company that was then known as Lever Brothers in the UK. He did short stints for Unilever working with journalists in the US, South Africa and India and has been working in the Media Relations team for the past ten years.

Paul is the day-to-day point of contact for journalists enquiring about anything to do with Unilever PLC. He is also responsible for shining a light on the company's innovation expertise at its two major research and development centres in the UK.

Paul worked as a journalist on a regional and then national newspaper for five years, before joining a leading PR agency in 2005 where he represented a range of international travel clients. If one move to the "dark side" wasn't enough, three years later he crossed another media divide, taking the in-house role as Unilever press officer for the UK & Ireland.

His time is split between the free Ben & Jerry's scoopshop at Unilever's marketing and sales headquarters in Leatherhead, Surrey, and its global head office in Blackfriars, London.

Flip is responsible for Unilever NV corporate media relations. Besides specific NV enquiries, such as financial results, shareholdings and AGMs, Flip can be contacted for interviews with senior management. He is also responsible for communicating Unilever's work on global themes such as sustainable living (everything from reducing our carbon emissions across the product lifecycle to empowering women through our Shakti micro-finance programme in India), health & well-being (for example our work in nutritional enhancement) and innovation.

Flip is also responsible for enquiries regarding Unilever's partnerships with the World Food Programme, GAIN and Unicef, which together seek to improve nutrition and hygiene in some of the most impoverished communities in the world.

Flip is a communications specialist, having worked for an internationally respected public relations agency before joining Unilever in 2009.

When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as running, cycling and playing field hockey. He appreciates good food, especially when it is complemented with a glass of fine wine. 

Els de Bruin is Unilever NV's Media Relations Coordinator, based in the company's corporate centre in Weena, Rotterdam. Els handles brand enquiries, and is responsible for press events and media visits.  Her job includes drafting and issuing press releases and managing the media during financial results and at AGMs.

Within the global media relations team she is responsible for the production of video content and managing the development of an online video library. This is intended to make selective video content we have around the global business easily and quickly accessible to journalists.

Els has extensive experience in communications. She joined Unilever in 1989, and has spent most of her career working in different roles within the media relations team. Outside of work, she loves to hit the ski slopes or go for a run. She also enjoys reading, painting and cooking – appreciating the importance of good food.
